What did you do this week?

Jared & I cashed in our Christmas gift from Ken & Jodie for a day of skiing with them. It was a gorgeous day and we had such a fun time spending time together. Thanks for the wonderful gift!

A New Mr. & Mrs.

My good friend from high school, Kathy, got married this week and I was so lucky to be able to throw her shower and be at her wedding with all (most of) our girlies! 

I only took a couple pictures at her shower because I was busy running around. I managed to get one at the end of the night with the girls.

The wedding was a blast & Kathy had the DJ play our song from high school. Ghetto Superstar!!! What a flashback! For some reason we have a lot of memories tied to that song... Love ya sistas!

Ringing in '09

On New Year's Eve we took Grey on his first light-rail ride downtown to watch the eArLy fireworks. There were so many people--what a fun place to people-watch! 

We ended up standing right below the building they were shooting them off. We got a little ashy... but so worth it!

Then we came home, got into pj's and watched a movie with our sparkling pear juice... What a perfect way to kick off 2009!

Let the Countdown Begin

I love the beginning of a new year. I like the fresh start that gives me an excuse to try anything and everything. For a moment I believe I can accomplish anything I want to try. I also love the possibilities of what may come in the year ahead.

Some things on my list for 2009...

Sucking up my laziness and potty-training

Using my new wheat grinder--and baking

Keeping up on exercise no matter what

Take Grey to do something fun once a week

A trip with Jared sans Grey (hint, hint)

Get up-to-date on my digi-scrapbooking

Organize some of those dreaded closets and drawers

So with my glass of sparking pear juice tonight, I will toast to all that 2009 will bring.

Taking the tree down...

I am always so sad once Christmas is over. I think I go through mild depression after the big day. ;) I love everything about the Christmas season and all the wonderful things we get to do as a family.

Christmas Eve with Jared's family was packed full of fun activities!

Christmas Day I made our traditional homemade cinnamon rolls and lounged around the house. Grey had so much fun opening gifts this year. It made it even more fun for us! This is the only picture I have of Grey in his Christmas PJ's--Thanks Pam!

Oh and the dogs loved their gifts too...

I didn't take any pictures because I forgot my camera, but we spent some time with my Dad & Mona as well as my Mom & Dave to celebrate Christmas. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful, thoughtful gifts!!!

Now we move into the New Year. Can it really almost be 2009?!!
