Amazing Sky

I followed Leslie's lead and took some photos of an amazing sky a couple evenings ago. A storm was heading in, but we still didn't get any rain. I love when it looks like someone took a huge paintbrush and painted across the sky. When I was a kid I would stare at the sky for hours on end just watching the clouds. Oh to be a kid again and have ALL the time in the world...

Summer is Here!

Jared has been waiting so patiently for summer to arrive so he could dress Grey in his favorite outfit. The wifebeater shirt and no pants... I did read an article saying that wifebeaters have gone from trashy to trendy. I'm not so sure about that. All he needs is a bling, gold chain to top off the look.

Helmets & Hair

Monday night I had the worst haircut ever! I had bought a cheap package at an Aveda salon with a facial, pedicure, haircut, etc. to test their services. I cashed in on the haircut & wish I never did. I now know why the package was such a good price! I think the girl got out of school a couple days ago. I asked for a trim of my long layers and walked out with some sort of chopped bob over a long white-trash mullet. {see photo 1} The picture doesn't do justice to just how awful it was. Jared even noticed! I told him the salon was a little white-trash and he said he could tell by my haircut. Hmmm....
So on Wednesday I had my friend Brooke try to fix it and she did an amazing job. {see photo 2} Unfortunately I had to cut off a ton of hair to get the weird layer blended. Now my hair is really short (well for me)! I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I'm really sad to part with my long hair. I haven't had really short hair since I was 12, so it makes me feel 12 again. It is better than the mullet though.

On a happier note, we got our motorcycle helmets and Jared's cool goggles. I was a little shocked when I saw the shade of pink when I opened the box. I kind of feel like a big bubblegum bug! So much fun though...

And finally, Greyden got his first tooth in! I'm glad the 4 days of whining and fussing were for a reason and not just his personality. Now I feel bad for not giving him anything for the pain. Oops!

Rocky Mountain Race

We ran in the Rocky Mountain race this past Sunday morning. We did the 5.5K pretty much because we're lazy... The course starts in Riverfront Park (which by the way is my dream place to live) and heads past Coors Field and through the streets of downtown, winds along the Platte back to where we started. The half marathoners run the same course but head up past Invesco and around Sloan's Lake. It was a blast running downtown! Luckily I had my sister in town to run it with me. We ran together the whole time which was really fun. Thanks P! I can't wait to do it again next year. I think Jared & I are going to try the 1/2 marathon next. AAAAH! I have a year to prepare, right???

Chocolate

Greyden had his first taste of chocolate from Grandma K. She was eating a skinny cow ice cream sandwich and gave him some of the cookie part. He LOVED it! He was sucking down her fingers and threw a fit when there wasn't any left. Uh-oh! I can see he takes after me & my addiction to chocolate. I kind of look like this when I eat chocolate...

iSHOTS website

After months of working on it, I have finally launched my updated photography website. I've spent the last few years creating a a style/brand for my company, so I wanted to change my website to reflect it better. There are still a few little things I'm trying to work out, but I would love any feedback you have. Anything I should change? Is it not working well on your particular browser? I want to make sure it is running smoothly. The first page is a little slow to load still & I'm not quite sure how to fix that. I can't even tell you how frustrating it has been trying to figure out html and building a website. I still have no clue how to do it right.... Thanks for your help!!!

Toys

We (or should I say Jared) got a new toy over the weekend. A Harley Speedster... I thought we were just browsing, but Jared couldn't resist after he took it around the block. Plus he didn't want to have to drive out by the airport again to buy it. I said we could get it if he put a sissy bar on the back so I don't fly off. They still scare me a little bit.... I've only sat on it once for a picture. A little different now that we have a kid.
I might have to take some lessons and get my license too. We could join my mom, stepdad and Heather & Jason on their cool motorcycles!!! We could start our own little bike gang.
