Music & Dogs
I have been lacking the energy to blog this past week. I have been really drained from my work for Romney's campaign and then the ending of it this week. Sorry Dave, I am down on the republican party and may not be able to vote this year. In this case party might not trump person (aka McCain) We'll have to see. But this won't be a political ranting. I'll save that for another day. On a happier note, I got voted in as a delegate at our caucus. I'm anxious to learn more about the strange process. It will be fun!
I found a song by Regina Spektor on Leslie's blog and cannot get enough of it. I don't know how I never heard of her, but she has an incredible voice. Here are two of my favorite songs:

Even though having dogs is not my favorite thing and I'm terribly allergic, it is really fun to have them for Greyden. They are best of friends. I tell him to give the dogs kisses and loves and he runs over and attacks! When I need some time to myself I tell him to go play with the dogs and that keeps him busy for a few moments. He figured out how to bark and imitate dogs before learning any words .

Most Beautiful Girl...
We don't have cable, so we miss out on a lot of shows. Jared came across some videos of Flight of the Conchords last week and we cannot get enough of it. I guess it is a couple of guys from New Zealand who go around singing to people. I can't wait for it to come to DVD so I can actually watch the whole episodes. It is one of those things that gets funnier every time you watch it. We were laughing so hard we were crying! I'm posting one of our favorites. It is definitely what every girl wants to hear... Enjoy!

The BEST concert!
Jared & I went with Pam & Jason to the Colin Hay concert last night at Swallow Hill. For those who don't know who he is, he was the lead singer of Men at Work in the 80's. He went off on his own in the early 90's and is extremely talented. You might recognize one of his songs, Overkill, that recently got big again from the show Scrubs. I put the video from the episode below...
It was by far the best concert I have ever been to. He is amazingly talented and puts on a great show. He has a hilarious personality and had the whole place laughing for two hours. It was evident that he loved being up there and playing off the crowd.
I'm not the type that enjoys the big lights, big show, smoke machines at a concert. The BIG stuff ends up distracting from the talent and great music. The concert was held in a small auditorium at a local music school off of Broadway & Yale. We were in the 8th row and there weren't too many rows behind us. Colin put the entire show on by himself. He was up there with his amazing voice, a guitar and a microphone. It was incredible! Afterwards we got to meet him and get his new CD autographed. I couldn't leave without getting a picture with him. It was a wonderful night & thanks to Jodie & Tyler for watching the kiddos.
Remember this one? His newer acoustic version is a lot better, but it sure brings back some great memories.

Addicted!
Okay, so I heard this song on the radio a few days ago and I can't get enough of it. I've been listening to it nonstop. I don't know who this band is but their name is the Plain White T's and the song is Hey There Delilah. Hope you enjoy it too...
